If you are one of the many listeners who considers, Ahhh Radio, the perfect end to your day, you may feel you have found a new friend. Her name is Cynthia and her mission statement is “to heal the world with music”.  

In 2006 Cynthia (Cindy) Jordan moved to San Angelo with an idea. An author, composer and speaker on the “power of music”, Cindy was convinced that programming beautiful music, along with inspirational quotes between the hours of 9 and 11pm could greatly benefit the community of San Angelo.

“I approached Rich DeRobles and Rick Whitworth, general manager of KCSA Radio with my idea. We discussed how beautiful instrumental music with an even flow relieves stress, is great for putting the kids to bed, and especially good for students.”

 “What should we call it?” Rick said with a contemplative look in his eyes.

“Ahhh Radio.” Cynthia said, as a matter of fact.

“What?” he quickly replied. “What do you mean?”

“What do you say when you sit in a comfy chair and put your feet up after a long tiring day?” Cynthia asked.

“Ahhhhh.” Rick slapped the table and grinned. “Let’s do it!”

The idea seems to be working for the listeners in San Angelo. “We get lots of letters. I can’t tell you how many times people approach me just from hearing my voice and say, ‘You’re Cynthia! I listen to you every night.’”

One listener is Bill Bagley. He says the radio show instantly puts him in an “Alpha state of mind.” As a behavioral-physicist, Bill is aware of the many benefits of listening to Ahhh Radio.
